The procedure of creating Liuli is similar to the age-old French glass casting technique known as "pate-de-verre". The process of creating Liuli is special and very difficult due to several factors such as instability of the mold and high firing temperatures. These result in a failure rate as high as 40%. Instead of one mold that can make multiple pieces, creating liuli uses a "lost-wax" technique where the mold is lost and it is impossible to create two identical pieces. As such, each piece of Liuli is unique as the mixture of colors varies from one to the next and the colour will not fade over time.
Care guide
Avoid Perfume and Chemicals. For bracelet, use clear quartz to charge and cleanse. Use damp towel to clean and pat dry. For display, rinse with tap water and pat dry.
